  Newby Manor

In the later part of 2008 we were contacted by a national property development company in charge of a multi million pound conversion project. They had commissioned an I.T company to look after the network installation and home cinema solution in a large manor house and appeared to be having problems. On first inspection the issues were very apparent and after a number of short meetings were then commissioned to take over the project.

Our brief was simple.
To provide a simple to use sound and vision solution for the entire house and a small area outside in the grounds. An additional brief for the vision aspect was he only wanted one sky box subscription but be able to view sky in every room with the ability to change channels. We combated this with a Labgear HDU681 loft box and RF sensors for each TV. The HDU681 allowed us to send a powered back feed for Sky signal and remote operation, CCTV input and Digital ariel for Freeview to each flat screen. The icing on the cake was piping the audio from local TVs and a DVD player back into Sonos for his loudspeaker system.

As an elderly couple the Ogden's at Newby manor were concerned about the operation of new technology, I am pleased to say they have had no trouble getting to grips with the easy to use Sonos controllers. However still having trouble understanding where the CD inserts on the Laptop?
