Some of our recent audio visual projects...

  • The Live & Deadly road show
CBBC presenters Steve Backshall and Naomi Wilkinson take deadly animals on tour with them around the UK in Live 'n' Deadly with technical event support from FTAV.

We were asked to provide a suitable sound, lighting and AV equipment system for a series of road show events throughout the UK.

With audiences of over 10,000 at each event and very different environments our technicians were faced with different challenges each week and completed every event flawlessly.

  • Sara Bareilles 'Rocks' Sheffield gig with FTAV

Earlier this year, American singer songwriter Sara Bareilles performed live for Sheffield based Real Radio.

FTAV provided audio visual equipment including lighting, PA system, fold-back monitors, stage lighting, microphones and a rather nice Yamaha piano.

The gig was a storming success with a very responsive crowd.

FTAV's head sound engineer said "Although the environment surrounding the event was not ideal with its 20m high glass roof and all hard floors, the KV2 Audio system sounded great.
  • Sonos - The ultimate in value for money!
The installation team are currently working on a large new build.

The client requires a nine zone multi-room audio system and seven large TV's throughout the property.

Installations Manager, Carl Cowgill says "I love working with Sonos equipment, I will recommend it to anyone. It is extremely reliable, user friendly and great value compared to other systems on the market".

  • FTAV light up Fyvie Live with Sophie Ellis Bextor
FTAV provided full production including sound, lighting and staging for a variety of different musicians who performed for the annual 'Fyvie Live' event at Fyvie Castle with headlining act, Sophie Ellis Bextor.

We opted to use a Yamaha PM5d digital mixer and a single KV2 Audio VHD system for FOH and a Yamaha M7 as a monitor desk.

The stage looked great against the picturesque backdrop of Fyvie Castle and its stunning grounds.

  • ITV live broadcasts from the seaside with FTAV
ITV's 'This Morning' contacted FTAV to design and supply a tri-lite truss system and stage and audio system.

The stage was used at a number of different UK coastal resorts, each time delivered, constructed and engineered.

Managing director Rick Lawson was the system technician for each event and mixed the whole live show on the last event from Buddha Bar in Puerto Banus.

Musical performances came from 'The Overtones'.

Thanks to Steve, Viv, Chris, Josh, Ritchie, Olly, and the rest of the team.
  • The Great British Story
Our events team traveled to several different locations throughout the UK to supply AV equipment and build a stage set for 'The Great British Story'.

The BBC2 show is hosted by a variety of different presenters and panelists who are there to educate and inspire an audience with interesting facts and information about our nation.

We transported the stage set and built it at each different location. We also provided all AV equipment including specialist lighting, Sennheiser radio microphones, projectors and technicians for the shows.

  • Major installation at Flamingo Land Resort
Members of FTAV's install team have been on holiday! ...not really. Flamingo Land theme park contacted us to install a full sound and lighting solution into a new development.

A bespoke manufactured star-cloth was commissioned and fitted to cover the entire 40m x 22m ceiling.

This 1500 capacity building was built for use as an entertainments area for the thousands of holiday makers that visit the attraction every year.

Rumour has it that we will be going in the lions den to carry out further work in the near future, wish us luck!
  • Complete AMX AV solution installed at B.Braun
We were approached by B.Braun in Sheffield to design an easy to use automated lecture theatre for company presentation. At the heart of the theatre we chose AMX to control the projector, curtains, blinds and all audio and video devices. RCF was specified for sound whilst Sanyo was the only choice for projection as distance was an issue, the comprehensive range of lenses catered for this issue.

A nine screen digital signage system was fitted into the business centre with a DMP control box processing the information.
